The hills are alive with the sound of...bleeting?!

It seems to have been a busy few weeks - not only for Simon, but also for myself.

The Young Farmers Northern Area weekend took place the weekend before last, seeing a group of us from Northumberland travel over to Cumbria to take part in the event. With a variety of competitions taking place, the county did well and I even saw myself take away Jnr Member of the year - I now go onto National to represent the North of England.

Then there was this weekend - a fieldtrip to the yorkshire coastline to look at erosion - not the most exciting thing in the world, but quite a laugh.

Now they are over, the planning and preparation for my Young Farmers Club 'Muck Spread' is coming together and, fingers crossed, this weekend will see myself alongside some other club members spreading manure. Hopefully if the weather allows, we shall get going on Saturday morning and should be all done within a day - earning a decent bit of money to go towards The Northumberland County Rally in which my club, Ponteland, is hosting this year. Hopefully after this spread, we may have some more work in the county to do...providing more revenue for the club!

So, trips away are complete, my muck is nearly spread, this must mean one thing -  lambing is about to start. Roll on long nights, red bull and prolapses!!
