Top of 14,000gns and record average for Shorthorns

The last of the Shorthorn bulls have passed through the ring and bidding has peaked at 14,000gns. This was for the junior champion, Podehole Beefeater, from Harry Horrell, Thorney, Peterbrough, selling to Jack Ramsay, Mauchline, Ayrshire.

 

SH-14,000.gifNext best was 13,000gns for Donald Biggar's Chapelton Braveheart. This one was the overall champion and sold to I. and S. Graham, Kilmacolm, Renfrewshire.

The record breed average was £4,560 for 39 sold.
